Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Position After Narrating Controversial Coronavirus Feature
The acclaimed actor has provided his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccines and praises former health official RFK Jr.
The Documentary's Contentious Basis
Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the virus was linked to a problematic version of the seasonal immunization.
The book's co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone radio host a known commentator. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the film.
An Unequivocal Denial
The team of Liam Neeson have provided a response pushing back against implications that he supports anti-vax beliefs.
"We all recognize that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment explains. "Neeson is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His extensive work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
The statement continued that the performer did not shape the project's narrative and that concerns about its claims should be directed to the creators.
Major Themes Within the Film
According to the documentary, the script read by Neeson features several strong points:
- It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
- It posits that "research has become dangerously influenced by politics."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
- The film takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
- Regarding pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."
Previous Controversy and Ongoing Debates
The film also references a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.
Last month, Kennedy directed the national health agency to revise its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no evidence has been found.
An Earlier Record of Advocacy
Differing from the documentary's tone, Neeson has in the past voiced strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.
In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."
"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's narration stating, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
